For such a large complex, it has a relatively low level of noise - except at 2am when some idiot decides to do donuts in the road...
The unit had a funky smell when we moved in, but after airing the place out for a few weeks and being conscientous about cracking open a window to avoid condensation problems, the smell went away eventually. There was also an emergency maintenance issue in the first two weeks after moving in, but the maintenance guys showed up within 24 hours and fixed the problem.
The most irritating issue that I've had while living here is that there are too many trees with leaves and berries and stuff that falls onto the uncovered parking spaces. Birds also roost in the trees as well, so sometimes I've gone out to my car to find it completely covered in birdcrap and wet leaves. If you have a nice car, don't park it uncovered.
Bottom line about this complex is that it's huge and rent is cheap. It's not too noisy, it's got about average construction quality, and it is located within driving distance of a lot of stuff. You just have to deal with the issues that are inherent to such a community. I'd say that it's about average to below-average as a place to live. I've seen better, but I've also seen a lot worse.
