My best friend and I moved in back in January of this year, and thankfully will be leaving this coming January. At first the place was not bad, but around March it started to go to hell. I have worked security at properties on Mack road that are better run than this place. For starters "IMPACT" security is a joke, they just recently started posting themselves at the front gate for a few minutes in the early morning hours like that is going to fix the sense of insecurity that we residents feel, but where were they when the apartments were being robbed, and women sexually assaulted' The main gate will work for a week, then is broken for three. The pedestrian gates are all either broken, propped open, or some idiot ghetto stoner will have just pulled two of the bars apart so that they can squeeze through cause they are to lazy to use their key.

Two months after we moved in these women and a small child moved in below us, and quickly decided that the staircase leading upstairs to our apartment was the spot to sit smoke and drink all day while the child ran around filthy. I complained several times, with no response from the management. Then the summer months came, and my a/c did not work, making the temp. about 80 degrees. I put in a work order twice, which the worthless maint. worker said worked just fine. Finally I went in and threatened to sue them for violating their renters rights obligation, as well as telling them that I would call a fire inspector regarding the extension cord being run between the two downstairs units because somebody didn't pay their electric bill. Later that afternoon my a/c suddenly started working.

One of the downstairs residents finally got evicted in September, and for the most part the downstairs parties have stopped, but you can still hear people drag racing on the street, drug deals taking place, and just in time for Christmas green beer bottles scattered around the property on the ground in front of every other unit. Almost all of the street lights are broken, making this place a prime target for theft due to the perfect cover the darkness provides. There are always unsupervised children playing in the driveway until well past sunset, as well as skatedboarders doing tricks and making noise in front of their apartment, and best of all the vagrants that wander onto the property via any one of the broken pedestrian gates. It is only a matter of time before this complex is on the evening news for either another robbery, rape, or violent crime. The management here turns a blind eye to the numerous problems, which is probably why the joke of a property manager will no longer be there at the end of the month.

If you are looking for a place to live, especially if you have a family, do yourself a favor and take your money to a better run complex. To all of you stuck on long term leases I am truly sorry. Merry Christmas!

I moved from there on October 1st after living there for more than 5 years. Everything the guy says is true. It is too bad because it used to be a nice place to live.

This is all true. I had the exact same problem with my AC. It would blow out WARM air. The maintenance guy was extremely rude and condescending in the work orders. Every time I came home from work, the work order said there was nothing wrong, but when I'd get home the AC was running all day blowing out warm air. So frustrating.
