This is, hands down, the worst apartment I have ever lived in, and it is getting worse by the week.

When we moved in the apartment was dirty and the oven/stove is on its very last legs. The cleaning crew did a half assed job in getting the unit ready for us.

Since then, we have had a week during which there was no hot water at all in the mornings. We called the office and maintence line daily only to be lied to about the situation. Finally, they seem to have resolved this issue.

The laundry facilities are disgusting. There is often trash and water covering the floor. The lint traps for the dryers have been missing twice, only to be returned/replaced broken. Also, if you do not get your clothes from the dryers immediately, you run the risk of having them put into the trash, or stolen.

In general, the atmosphere is loud and I do not feel safe here. The office staff tries to blow off any problems. The maintence crew is rude as well. We have only lived here a few months but other neighbors have told us that this was a relatively nice complex up until Jan/Feb 2002. Apparently it is going downhill fast. Avoid River Terrace at all costs! It is awful.
