Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005

I lived at Rivercrest for 2 years and constantly had problems. The first year I lived there management had a complete turnover about every 6-8 weeks.

They constantly sent notices saying that rent was overdue and I was being evicted. Ofcourse, the notices were on practically every door.

It was amazing if there were less then 2 car break ins a week, and there were usually more.

A guy in one of my classes also lived there was attacked by a guy with a lead pipe. Totally serious. Fortunately he's a tenacious guy and managed to get the pipe away from him, but he still had to go to the hospital and get stitches.

We also had a drug dealer living across the street. He actually just grew and made stuff, but about every three months a new set of guys would move in and take over the operation.

I never had the mold problem in the bathroom, but several friends that lived there did and it was disgusting.

I never really had a need to call maintenance, but they seemed to do okay on getting stuff fixed the few times I did call them. I think it was because they guy liked my roommate though.

I moved out before the construction started, but my boyfriend still lived there until Dec '04 and the same comments as all the other reviews go. Start early, are loud, takes forever.

One of his neighbors actually had to move out, basically overnight, because she was not given any notice that the patios were being made smaller. She was doing foster care and had to have a certain size yard. Because of the decrease in the patio with no notice she had to move out asap.

I also had a really hard time getting my deposit back. Not because the apartment wasn't clean, but because they screwed up in the computer. "Fortunately" I had enough problems with them early on I kept all of my records so I could prove what I paid to them to get my money back. It took forever though.

Live somewhere else, basically anywhere is better.
