Stay Away!!!!

This place may look nice with their new paint and stuff and the gated fence does really make the community look safer....BUT....looks can be deceiving...
The gate has been up for the past 3 months, and its still not in use. Worst part is, without any consultation or notice to the old tenants, they put up the gate and expected them to pay a $50 dollar deposit. Dont' be surprised if you receive a notice to pay another $50 dollars for other "amenities" they provide.
They constantly tell and even brag to both old and new tenants about how they were going to have this "FANTASTIC" gym with a security system, "CLEAN" pools and a really "NICE" playground. Well, the gym has been out for the past 7 months...and still comes with antique equipment that doesn't even work. The pools has been dirty from the day I moved in and that was a really long time ago.
Management has turned over so many times yet it just gets worse and worse each time. They just get more and more rude. Frequently they would get their systems all screwed up and send you tons of notice of late payment when you've ALREADY PAID. Then, when you think you can just drop by the office and show them a copy of the check you wrote them or a receipt, they either doesn't know how to fix the system or you have to wait for the manager to be around, WHICH is normally like days...
A year ago when I moved in, management told me that they will be installing dryers and washers in the apartments given the problems they have constantly with the laundry rooms. Well, this never happened, and I doubt it will be happening anytime soon because they just replaced the antique washers and dryers in the laundry rooms with new equipment. Which by the way, is already starting to break down after one month.
When you think the worst is over when your lease finally expires and you can move out, BEWARE....they'll deduct tons of cleaning and painting expenses from your deposit and take months to return you the rest, which probably only amounts to 5% of the 400 deposit they ask for.
I know its a very convenient place to live at if you attend CSUS, but its definately no convenience when you can't live in comfort and constantly have to worry about your own safety, your car and when the heck is maintenance coming to fix your broken amenities.
