I have to agree with the person before me. I have lived at Rivercrest for just over 2 years and will renew my lease when it expires. I will say that I have had friends whose cars have been broken into and it sucks but it can happen anywhere and as a tenant I don't expect that the management can control the crime. They have increased the security to help with that as much as they can but I can honestly say that I have lived in this area for 4 years now at other apartments while going to Sac State and the same things happen at all of those ... some of them worse! The office staff is always friendly and helpful with whatever I need and they always have those yummy fresh baked cookies!! My maintenance requests have always been taken care of in a day or so and when my friends and family come to visit the complex always looks clean and taken care of so I am not imbarassed to have company over. I would recommend living at Rivercrest to all of my friends who go to Sac State.

I wouldn't recommend living there if my life depended on it, because I would need to depend on my life if I were to live there.
My girlfriend currently lives there, and—to the person above—It's not like other places. They over–charge for rent, and do nothing about the security. They have one guard for about 3 hours a weekend.
My apartment complex has a guard every weekend, he goes door to door before it's too late to hand out cards, he drives and walks the perimeter all night on Friday through Sunday, and he stops by to make sure things are fine throughout the week.
If I were to look for another place, it'd be hard to beat what I have now. I suggest to everyone that they should take these comments with a grain of salt, because they are probably made by the apartment management.
