When I signed the lease, the manager stressed that they wanted to have adequate time so eveything was perfect when I moved in. That was fine but when I moved in, there were a bunch of things wrong. The bathroom sink and piping had to be replaced (it had obviously been leaking for a while - the cabinet underneath was bubbly and growing mildew), the oven did not work, only one out of three phone jacks worked, one of the blinds was broken (had to be repaired twice, since they didn't do it right the first time), the dishwasher water backed up and sprayed all over the counter and floor. The repairs for all that took about 2 weeks (however, they refused to fix the phone jacks, since, legally, they only have to supply me with one working jack).
All that aside, the complex is fully gated (I think that's recent), nice, and in a good area. The personal deposit was about $450 and a dog deposit was $500. The pool is kept very clean. Parking is only one spot per unit but there is a small lot in front of the complex. The repairs were done quickly and it looks like smooth sailing from here on out. The one thing I would fix is for the manager or her substitute to be in the office on a regular basis. They don't always follow the posted hours. I really like living here.

I too am a Riverglen by the River resident. However I have only lived at the complex for one year. It is under new management and I have NO complaints about anything. I find the location next to the river and bike trail a pleasure for evening strolls and lazy afternoons, relaxing along the river banks...This something I have come to really treasure. Riverglen is a crime free, wholesome, comfortable place to live and until I buy my own home I will be calling Riverglen Home. JoAnn Finestein

The new management tried to raise my rent while I was under a lease. I fought that and they postponed the raise until the end of my lease, obviously. The raise wasn't so bad...until I found out my neighbor paid $100 less than me for the same apartment and they weren't raising his rent. When I moved out, they did refund my deposit, so that was nice. The location was terrific and I haven't found better since.
