I have lived here for two years. The complex was fine until about one year ago when it sold to another company. Here are the reasons why you should not live here:

Crime is a major problem. Cars get broken into on a regular basis. Someone tore out our steering column in an attempt to steal our car. I've talked to many people who have also had their cars broken into. In addition, we had a peeping tom about a year ago. We also have lots of homeless people who live on the river and dumpster dive in our trash bins.

Also, the lighting here is absolutely horrible. There are many dark areas and unlit pathways. The major lights do not go on until 6:30pm, no matter what time of year. During the fall and winter, the complex is barely lit.

Quality of residents--ick! I have arrived home after work many times to see police cars next to different buildings. For example, one couple who lived here for about six months would scream at each other outside about every day. Several residents complained about this couple and security was called but the management did nothing.

The quality of the grounds and buildings. The management had to replace all the staircases in all the buildings due to dry rot, but they only did so after people fell through their stairs. Most of the buildings have serious dry rot and nothing has been done about it. Windows leak and the walls have the same mold growing on the inside as on the outside. Also, they have a serious problem with feral cats and residents who don't clean up after their dogs.

The pool is kept clean in the summer but if you want to enjoy a swim, go at 8am on a weekday. Residents (and their friends) have lots of loud parties around the pool in the summer. The 10pm closing time for the pool is a joke. That's when most of the ghetto folks start their parties. Of course, they leave tons of empty beer bottles, which inevitably break.

The management has been unresponsive to issues about lighting, problem residents and security.

DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!

I too live at RiverView Ranch, On May 11, 2005 the Mgt issues a letter to all residents notifying us that there is a "Crime Problem" No ----!!!This place is a section-8 dump. The Mgt company and its staff pass the buck when it comes to Security issues...THE SECURITY COMPANY FOR THE COMPLEX IS USELESS AND A WAIST OF OUR MONEY!!!!! Good for locking the pool gate at 11:00pm...Real security here!!! The above poster is honest and correct by saying DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!THE PLACE SUCKS, THE MGT SUCKS THE SECURITY HERE SUCKS!!!!!
