I recently renewed my lease for another 6 months. Perhaps I'm in a lucky building here, but I have virtually NO problems--it's relatively quiet and my neighbors are nice people. Yes, there are children playing so it's important to drive slowly and yes, the little boy downstairs can be noisy sometimes. But this is an APARTMENT complex, I don't expect total peace and quiet all the time. Besides, it's not constant. I've noticed a high turnover rate in the front office, but the maintenence crew are all the same (and seriously, the most important folks around are the maintenence guys anyway--the office can't help you at 2:00 am when something happens). I think it comes down to expectations. I expect to eventually buy a home. This place allows me reasonable enough rent to still be able to save towards my goal and it's a nice enough place to have friends over for dinner. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to call home until you can buy your own. OH--and regarding the sex offender list, that was the first thing I checked before I moved in and there are none on this property.
