My wife and I went in to rent an apartment. The lady gave us a printout with the move in costs and we went over (I thought) everything.
Two days later the manager called me and told me we had to pay a double deposit. Keep in mind we make 7 1/2 times the rent.
When we told her we already signed paperwork all she would say it's policy.
Now I have to figure out how to get back the 100 I put down.
If you are going to live there be aware, they will be asking for more money than they put on the paper they give you.

That's not exactly true. I've not had this experience and I have been living at Riverview Ranch for almost 2 years. I've only had the best experience dealing with the girls and the manager at the office. What was in the contract, was what I paid. This guy must have misunderstood the contract. That's too bad.

No, we understood just fine. They wanted more than was on our paper listing the final move in costs which we signed.
It is good you had a positive experience but we did not. They saw we made a decient living and tried to take advantage.
