HORRIBLE!

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009

Before I moved into the apartment, I thought it would be nice. The model that they show you is pretty nice, so one would think that most of the apartments would be that way. No. After moving in and inspecting my new apartment close up I discovered the following (at least in my apartment): Everything was old and dated. There haven t been many upgrades since the complex was built years ago. The carpets are worn out and ugly. There are stains everywhere on them. The bathrooms are cheap with linoleum torn at the baseboards. All the cabinets are particle board. Some of the doors either don't open easily or close improperly. I know, idiot me for not taking a closer look before I signed my lease.

As for your neighbors; they're horrible as well. Some people are really nice, but there are more than a handful of lazy, noisy, and sketchy neighbors that you never want to associate with. They re loud and inconsiderate. One obnoxious, ghetto, fat tenant spends most of his day drinking shirtless and yelling at his kids at the pool. And do not get an apartment by the pool. The windows are old, single pane windows. As a result you can hear everything that goes on when people want to stay at the pool until 2 am on week nights drinking and being idiots. Not to mention all the kids that scream during the day as they run around the pool and surrounding area unsupervised.

As for security, they just hired Paladin. However, Paladin is very slow to respond. If you have late night complaints, call the cops instead. The local police already know the problems with the area and are very helpful.

Did I mention the inconsiderate neighbors' Oh, that s right, I did. That s how bad some of the people get late at night. They don t care that you might have to be at work at 6 a.m. Some people have lived there for a while and have established their own rules about how trashy and loud they can be. On one night when a neighbor called the cops for a noise complaint, the loud resident told the officer, I ll see you the same time tomorrow night, while laughing. Also, instead of drinking and hanging out on their private patios, these trashy people drink topless right in front of the apartment entrance s guest parking spaces. They use the large, green power box as a beer stand. If you have a cute, female visitor, you have to avoid the entrance in order to avoid having her hear derogatory comments. These problems are why a lot of the apartments are empty and a good number of new residents leave once their leases are up.

In short, Rosemont Park is one of the worst apartment communities that I have ever lived in. For what you pay, you get utter crap. Avoid the late night anxiety of loud, drunk people screaming at each other. Spend the extra money and do not live at the Rosemont Park Apartments. The Rosemont area isn t necessarily bad, so look for some houses to rent in the nearby neighborhood instead.
