Management Sucks

Overall, management is inefficient, incompetent, and lack any type of communication with each other. They are in serious need of retraining. The following is my account of what I went through to get my application finally processed and over with. Feel free to read if you have the patience and if you want to know how management really works here.

For the past two weeks, my GF and I have been getting ready to move into whatever apartment we found that fits our budget. We found Shore Park through one of her friends. My GF decided to call the place to ask the reason why the apartment was so cheap. He told her that the apartment has been vacant for a long time now so it would be in their best interest to lease it out as early as possible to make some revenue off it.

I made an appointment to check the place out. The guy, seemed cool at first. But later on, it was clear that he is incompetent in what he does. I wanted to look at the one bedroom apartment and their two bedroom and compare the differences. Living room looks identical in the show rooms. I asked to see the apartment that I would be moving into. He was a little frantic when I asked him and told me that it probably wasn't ready to look at yet, but we can "peek" at it. I talked to him some more and told him that I didn't care if it wasn't ready, I'd just like to take a look at it. While the maintenance guy was in the apartment, the guy had his walkie talkie to inform the guy that we were headed over, as if they were hiding something. It was pretty strange. My GF went to see the apartment that same day but the guy decided not to show her our future unit. Reason' I don't know...

The following Monday, the guy called my GF to tell her that she needed to fill out applications and sent her the forms via email. OK, that was nice of him, I guess. We turned in the application after filling it out, and suggested that he take a look at them in case we forgot something. He insisted "I'm pretty sure everything here is good enough." We went to take a look at the unit again, and upon coming back to the office, he said "Is there anything else you need'" We had the same question: "Is there anything else that you need from us'" He assured us that we were set.

The following day, he called my GF again and requested the total move-in cost - about $1,800 because we have 2 pets. Pretty strange, I would say. Our application hasn't even been processed yet. Upon turning in the move-in cost, she again asked if there was anything else. Nope... Later that day, she received a call from a female worker at the front desk - "Oh, we need you to sign these applications." WTF! We asked the dude many times if we were missing anything. Normally, management would sit with you and explain the application and look everything over upon returning it. Anyways, I had to get off work early, and I have deadlines to meet this week, mind you. We signed the applications and again, asked the woman if there was anything else. Nope.

Next day, today. I received a call from my GF. She told me that the front desk lady called her to inform us that we need to fill out pet applications. --------! Why didn't any of them tell us ahead of time' It's four days before our move in date and we have to take hours off work just to fulfill what should've been done if they had given us all the information we needed from the beginning. I am so pissed right now.

The guy, I would say, is like a salesman. It seems like he just wants to show you the good and not worry about anything else. As long as he hooks you, it's all gravy for him.

Overall, management is crap. Like all other reviews say, they have no form of communication whatsoever. We are going to move into the apartment and hope we don't have to rely on the management team if we have any problems with our unit. k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
