We moved into the St. Anton Bldg in August 2006. The building had just opened for business in April 2006. The first five days we were there, the air conditioning was broken, and the outside temps were in the low 100s. After several calls to building management and two trips out by the repairman, we finally got it fixed. Then, a few months later, water started dripping from the ceiling. Turns out the sprinkler system they have for the plants on the rooftop deck was leaking. Since we happen to be just below the rooftop deck, we can hear people walking above us, moving furniture, playing music. Our downstairs neighbor has complained that he can hear us getting up in the morning to walk to the bathroom. Don't be fooled by the stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Underneath it all, this is a very cheaply constructed building. It's true, the building has gone through at least 4 managers that I can think of in the past year. The current manager seems to be very responsive to people's needs. The location is convenient if you're into restaurants and bars, but it is located at the corner of 21st and L, which are two main throughways in this area, so there is a lot of traffic noise.
