How can I express to you the ineffective, unproffesional, scammimg, idiots that run this establishment' I saw this property on rent.com and I have to say it was a great deal and a new looking complex. The first lady I met with was very nice and she gave me and my husband the applcation and told me I could bring him back tomorrow (a Saturday) to see the place. It was very nice inside - lots of storage, bright and roomy. Well that was it. We get there the next day and the girl said they didn't show on the weekend - WHAT APT DOESN'T SHOW ON THE WEEKEND'' ISN'T THAT WHEN PEOPLE HAVE TIME TO LOOK' From there they wanted money up front - we had to go back three times because they always "forgot" to tell us what we had to sign or a check we had to drop off. One time we were told to come back at a certain time and when we got there THEY WERE CLOSED!! We got stuck working with this one girl throughout the whole process and she is a first class witch. There are so many hidden rules and fees at this place. You can only have the Dish and DSL - not cable. You cannot have real BBQs. They are not up front about anything. When we were finally approved - it took three weeks to finaly get a call back - we were told we had to pay an extra $130 for insurance that was not refunable or we could pay $1050 if we wanted out money back. Apparently we pay there insurance in case tenants don't pay their rent and then the insurance company only pays $750 - which wasn't going to cover our rent anyway. I asked if we always paid on time if we would get it back and they said no. They said it was based on your credit which is crap because we had just been approved for a house and the only reason we were moving to an apartment was I started to go to graduate school thus cutting our income. Then they only let you sign a 6 month lease so your rental rate is only locked in for 6 months and after thatthey have the ability to set it at whatever they wish - which of course they can't tell you - "current market rate." Currently we are trying to get our initial deposit back (we haven't signed anything) and they said you only have 72 hours to get it back - mind you I was only told two days ago that we had been "approved" - hence their stupidity that it has only been 48 hours. They never explain anything to you and you have to pull everything out of them. In my opinion if you are paying them this much money they should treat you well. I can only imagine the hell their poor tenants get and I AM NOT willing to stick around to find out. I asked a current resident on my way out what they thought because hoping that maybe this was just a hassle but once you are in it is okay. Another young married couple like ourselves with a 2 year old daughter said it was awful and the only reason they stayed was the price - both students they literally couldn't afford anything else. They said kids were everywhere unsupervised and they always feared they would get run over by the cars that sped through. The noise - especially in the summer would go until the wee hours of the night and since they had two cars and only one space one of them always had to park far away. They definately confirmed my worries. THEY ARE BAD BAD BAD business. Don't let the good price and nice apperance fool you. IF A DEAL IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS!! gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
