Management continues to fail residents

Here are more reasons not to move here if you can afford another place:

1. Management issues notices, expecting us to comply with a new rule within 24 hours. These notices are affixed with tape to our front door. There is no way to guarantee we are even in town, nor is there a way to ensure that we actually received the notice. This in reference to the recent addendum to the parking rules. Notice should be sent via postal mail, at least 30 days prior to the rule change. Again, poor planning and very unprofessional on behalf of office personnel.

2. My neighbor's kid in about July of 2006 rummaged through the garbage dumpster and scored a spray paint can of red paint. The child was, as usual, not being monitored by his parents as he trotted around and began painting things. I caught him red-handed (literally) painting the wall next to my apartment door! I immediately spoke with management on this issue, to which they replied that they would take quick action to paint-over the grafitti. NOTHING was done for over two months, so I again went to the MANAGER and asked her what was being done. The first time I went in, she claimed that the paint code had changed and that they were waiting on the paint company to mix up a batch. The next (third time overall) time I went in was about a month later. Now the manager told me that it was the tennant's responsibility to remedy the mess. The final time I went in (fourth time!), the manager told me that she's waiting for the offending tennant to pay for the job, and that it was not Terracina Gold's responsibility to take care of the situation. Finally, I had to call the folks in Roseville who own the property. They were aghast at the way management had been handling this situation. Two weeks later, my wall was finally fixed. So my apartment looked like something from the ghetto for EIGHT MONTHS before anything was done about it!

3. Parking violations -- is your car not registered (and probably not insured)' Has your car sat with one or more flat tires for a month or so' No problem! Even though management threatens such vehicles with warning notices that the vehicle will be towed if not fixed, the car will still sit there. I have come across many an eyesore, and it makes me worry about having one such junker sit next to my vehicle -- something I take pride in, pay my insurance and registration fees for, and don't want an idiot running into it and obviously just leaving the scene.

4. My neighbors have five LOUD, obnoxious children that roam the parking lot unattended constantly. These kids range in age from about two years old to about twelve years old. They are so loud that even with all of my windows shut and I am in the back of the home, I still hear them screaming at the top of their lungs -- and they are in their home at the time! I have had people on the phone overhear the kids, they are so loud. The mother, when looking for the kids, yells at the top of her lungs as well when she wants the kids inside. She goes out, not knowing where the kids actually are, and just starts yelling. I have asked management repeatedly to do something -- but of course, nothing.

5. Parking lot noise -- even during business hours, there have been heard rude car owners just sitting in the parking lot hitting the horn instead of politely parking the vehicle and knocking on the door of the person they are visiting. This happens at all hours of the day and night, without any reprimanding from management. I have had to risk personal injury by yelling out to them to "use the dang doorbell you lazy jerk!" I am a fairly mild person, but when my personal space gets invaded on like that, I don't always react politely. Management needs to investigate whose visitors these are, and cite the appropriate tennant. We are told that we are responsible for the actions of our visitors. yeah, right.

Well, I could go on for days, but these are just a few examples of why you should seriously consider whether or not to move here. If you are a loud, irresponsible person with loud, destructive kids that owns an unregistered vehicle, you'll fit right in. But if you are a quiet, courteous person that respects the property and personal space of others, you might have a problem blending in here.

This person has something shoved WAY up there. I understand about the loudness and that fact that people are rude. But having a car with no insurance or a car that is unregistered has nothing to do with the apartment itself. Understandably, these apartments are for people with low incomes and who obviously are having monetary issues. Obvioulsy the first priority would not be to get their car registered or insured. However, I do understand cars that are just taking up parking spots, not being drivin, or taken care of, should be a problem. Other than the minor issues, calm down.

Actually the person writing the review is not the problem. They have valid complaints, however, from MVP response..it sounds like MVP is a prime example of the trash that usually fits into nicely to low income apartments such as these.

Okay, so MVP has no problem with a POS uninsured clunker parked next to their car, I presume. Whatever. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have gotten out of that rat hole. If you cannot afford to insure or register your vehicle, use public transportation or something. No matter, most folks there that did not have insured/registered vehicles could not use the excuse that they had fallen on difficult times. Many of them were too dang lazy to get a job and get off the crack pipe. I worked HARD and paid over seven hundred bucks a month. I deserved to live my life in peace. I now do exactly that, in a nice home that the likes of MVP will probably never see. Get off your butt and make changes for your life. Oh, wait -- maybe Obama can give you a bail-out and you can live off the government for the rest of your life. There isn't anything shove up any part of my body. You're just a lazy idiot.
