I'm reposting this because apparently someone from the management office saw it and didn't like what they read, so they tried to get it deleted. Renters, this is factual and truthful information so please take everything listed into account. (Plus, there is nothing to be gained by writing a ficticious review and wasting 30 minutes of your own time)

I have lived in Tuscaro for about two years now, and have talked to many of the tennants and gotten their opinions, so I think I have a pretty good summary of the apartments. I am definitely gone by when my lease is up.

First the good things about Tuscaro: The apartments do look nice and it is convenient to go to places as I-80 and I-5 are not even 5 minutes away and there is even a bus stop right outside the apartments. The tennants are very diverse and most are friendly.

Now to the bad and unfortunately there are numerous things that really need work on in this complex. The worst thing about Tuscaro is definitely the parking. Parking is a total nightmare. Apparently whoever designed the apartment layout didn't take into account that there are twice as many apartments as there are parking spaces. If you work late or if you like going out in the evenings be prepared to park out in the boonies and walk 1/4 mile to and from your car to your apartment because there are very limited amount of parking spaces in front of the apartment buildings. Though parking passes are required in your vehicle to park in the spots enforcement of towing is very flaky... There are frequently non-resident visitors hogging the parking spaces with no tow-truck in sight. Also if you have more than one vehicle the office management refuses to give you another parking pass so you are either forced to purchase a garage at $75/month park in front of the leasing office at night or take your chances and park in the parking lot. Any complaints made to office management receives a response of there is nothing we can do about it. If we start towing residents start complaining.

The landscaping is maintained weekly but they water the grass so much that much of the landscape becomes swampy. The spinklers come on at the minimum of 3 times a day: In the wee hours of the morning in the middle of the afternoon and early evening. There are constant mud puddles in the landscape so if you have a pet be careful where you take them or you'll end up with mud all over your pet as well as your feet. Complaints have also been made on this matter which office management had replied saying they will look into it, but has never been resolved.

This is supposed to be a gated community. however, the gates are constantly broken and left open so residents (and non-residents) are free to go in and out of the complex. When the gates are working, you have to be careful and not pass through until the gates are open all the way because they have the tendancy of closing halfway or "bouncing". I've known several people who have had damaged caused to their cars because of the gates. They all said that when they reported the incidents to office management, they said they are not responsible for the damage so they were out of luck.

Ants and pigeons are a constant issue. Make sure anything and everything that may attract ants are sealed or you are guaranteed to have them in your apartment within 2 days regardless if you are upstairs or downstairs. Pigeon poop seems to be a pet peeve of many residents at the apartment. The apartment decks are usually caked in dried up pigeon poop. Office management states that they will only clean it from your deck twice a year. If you have a cat/dog/pet, it seems to be a good method to scare off the pigeons so they don't hang around your deck.

Office management is HORRIBLY unreliable (which seems to be the unanimous trend based on the reviews posted). The office girls are always pretty, blonde, and voluptuous but that seems to be the only positive about them. They are friendly when you speak to them, however... go back in the next day and they don't ever remember you having brought up an issue. I once brought them my garage door opener to have the battery replaced and I checked in with them several times during the same day and they keep putting me off saying they'll give me a call right back. The 4th time I checked in with them they had already locked up and went home. My car was in the garage at the time and there is no way to open the garage aside from the garage door opener so I was stuck without a car for the day. Very poor customer service on their part. Ultimately, the office management seems to take action about half the time when neighbors complain on neighbors, but when complaints are made on the management, grounds issues, broken gates, and other non resident-to-resident issues, NO ACTION is ever taken. On the flip side, the maintenance guys are very good at what they do just make sure you go directly to the maintenance guys if you have a problem and they usually fix the problem right then and there.

Finally solicitors and unwanted guests frequently visit the apartments. Within the last 4 months I recall 5 times where solicitors went door to door to sell magazine subscriptions. Also dumpster divers are frequently in the garbage dumpsters rummaging through residents' trash looking for bottles/plastic/personal information. The community pool is also visited FREQUENTLY from non-residents from outside the apartment complex.
I have made several complaints on these issues to office management but they also seem to have turned a blind eye to these issues.

Overall Tuscaro has the potential to be a decent complex; its just the Office Management is in need of a MAJOR rehaul. Most of the negatives I listed would be resolved if office management listens and takes action to the residents' complaints. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
