I've had a quit a few "land-lords" while in school and while working. For me, the leasing staff at Tuscaro has been the worst. I was lied to on the leasing terms. My wife and I were told we could leave under our month-to-month lease and not be responsible for the days remaining on our 30 day notice. I thought it sounded too good to be true and went to the office to verify it before we moved out to avoid paying rent for two places at the same time, and they did so I thought I was in the clear. One month after move out we received our "move-out disposition" and sure enough we were charged for the 7 or so days. When confronted about it, they denied what I was told and left me holding the bag because of their mistake. I wish I had just been told correct statements from the begining and we would have waited until the end of the lease to leave. If you are already sucked in as a tenant, I recommend tape recording relevant conversations or to take notes and have the staff person you are speaking with initial to attest to what was said. If you are just looking, don't get suck in by the "show" they put on at the leasing office and look else-where.
