NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE

I lived at the University Gardens from June 2001 to December 2002 and in my 18 month stay, I didn't have a very good living experience. First and foremost, my car had got broken into a total of 4 times and once, the glass of my drivers' side window was smashed. There is NO security here and for a place so close to Sacramento State with college students, I feel they should enforce it for someone to watch the premisis from 10pm-6am. I also wanted to comment on the manager here, Dolores. She is a very lazy person and spends more time walking around outside then being in her office where she should be. The maintenace here is also very lazy as well and it seems like every balcony needs to be replaced from all the rotted out wood. I have had numerous problems with my bathtub being clogged, cold shower, certain electrical outlets not working, the air conditioning not working, and parts of the ceiling being soiled. And when I did need a work order done, it usually takes them an minimum of at least 4 weeks just to get to your apartment. The spa near the pool has had a tarp on it as far back as I can remember and the machines in the exercise facility are probably when Nixon was president. Not to mention have of the machines are broken down. Remember these are 35 year old apartments and the old dorms of Sac State but they need to keep up with the times and the whole place needs to be renovated. I would not recommend this dump to anyone unless you enjoy your car being vandalized and cold showers.
