I would not recommend University Village Apartments. Upon signing a lease, they promised amenities (including fitness center, movie room, computer lab, clubhouse), which were not completed even 6 months later! Because the management at University Village was in charge of providing internet to tenants (internet is included in rent), but it took them three weeks to get us a cable modem and get internet hooked up. My apartment there has had ongoing work orders, some of which have been outstanding since August 2006 and are still not completed. They will also tow your car without notice, even though parking at this complex is a nightmare: parking spots are not clearly assigned and our parking spot assignment was changed twice without any reason or notice. This area is not particularly safe; there have been shootings in the neighboring apartment complex. Please, don't live here.

By the way...Comcast was responsible for getting our modems...they were the ones who took too long, they were the ones who said they would give us money back and they were the ones who said that they had changed their minds. Make sure you get your facts straight. As for the clubhouse, the plans sent to the office were drawn up in Florida and werent coded for california, they did this 3 times, not the properties fault. The incompetent construction crew would take days off and not tell the office. No ones car is towed without warning unless its towed by another RESIDENT. The area this complex is in isnt the safest, no, but where else are you going to find a safe area with affordable rates for students in Sacramento, your not. I believe this place is great. You dont have to pay for hardly any of your utilities..Cable is good and the internet is great. The clubhouse is finally done and if you compare it to other complexes...you cant find a better clubhouse.
