i currently live at university village and i feel that it is my responsibility to let everyone know what kind of place this is. Its trashy, noisy, poorly maintained and the office staff are selfish, uncompassionate, young children that do not know how to run a business. these people twist everything around and take advantage of young college students. The security sucks as well...my car has been stolen and i had a man harassing me and it took security 45 min to arrive. The laundry room is a disgusting mess. take my advice and NEVER move here.
PS...this place is a way over priced

I am also currently living in University Village but am trying to move out. Everyone seems to have untrained dogs and cats because the dogs bark incessantly, cats are always meowing, there are loud cars always driving though the complex. My neighbor's music is always keeping me up even though I have asked them to turn it down. The maintenance is useless. I have had a broken shower door for almost two years despite several complaints and maintenance requests. I can't use my patio because it is infested with wasps and huge, oddly colored spiders. Bikes are always getting stolen and one of my neighbors had his car broken into while he was parked in my spot. My ceiling is always leaking when it rains. Someone even had their roof cave in on them. Once I went away for three weeks to visit my family and when I got back all my food was being eaten by beetles and I had carpet beetles. I put in three extermination requests but I ended up having to pay hundreds of dollars to buy bug bombs, plastic storage containers and dry cleaning for all my clothes. The exterminator never even came. Whenever you even hint that they should pay for something they flat out deny you or give you the run around. I even asked for the number to the managers to complain but the onsite manager refused to give it to me. Punk kids are always pulling the fire alarms. One time the fire alarm stayed on for ten hours. A kid pulled it at 11pm and it didn't get fixed until 9 in the morning. It gave me and my girlfriend headaches which sucked since we had work the next day. We actually had to spend hours cruising around Sacramento because we couldn't even check into a hotel since they were all booked up. This place is horrible, trashy, people are always trying to sell me drugs. If you like having no sleep, broken and stolen stuff, loud neighbors who don't clean up after their untrained animals, pathetic managers and useless maintenance for a ridiculous price, then move here, for all the sane people out there, don't even think about it.
