In my opinion they have a great system as far as taking care of internet and cable and furnishing the apartments for about the same price as you would pay for an apartment without these things elsewhere, but management had to go and ---- it all up. Here are 25 reasons why I HATE the verge. 1) there are six or seven guest parking spots for the whole god damn complex and if you dont have a parking sticker and park anywhere in the complex, they will tow your car no questions asked and you will have to pay $220 to get it out and there is and never has been a problem with parking. 2) management never stops harassing you. We had some people over one night people were smoking cigarettes and throwing them on the ground when they were done. they next day we got a not on our door saying that they were going to charge us $50 a day until we cleaned them up. $50 !'! give me a ------- break! 3) This whole complex is built out of tinker toys and falls apart when you move in 4) they always have these -------- pool parties and spend a bunch of money catering it and everything but they never put a dime back in to the apartments to maintain them. 5) to make a long story short screwed up one of my friends leases and kicked them out early forcing them to find somewhere else to live. (Which may have been a blessing in disguise) 6)They always tell you that they are getting new management but it never gets any better 7) they told us that they were getting new security but instead they pretty much downgraded it to no security at all probably to save a few ------- dollars. 8)if you pay your rent a day late they tack on an extra $75 dollars 9)you used to be able to pay rent online which made it pretty convenient but they went and ----ed that all up too. 10) they people who work at the front never know what they are talking about and will give you a different answer every time you ask them something. 11)Your ---- will probably get stolen 12)The carpets blow. If you spill anything even water on them it will stain them. 13)closet doors are always falling off the tracks and bedroom doors fall apart and break extremely easily. 14) they tell you that you get free comcast but instead they pick up a signal through a satellite and air wave it to everyones apartment which im pretty sure isnt legal 15) the picture on the TV is always staticky because its not comcast cable 16) All of the TV shows are three hours off the time that they are supposed to be on so you can never plan to watch anything 17)you cant make any ------- noise or someone will be knocking on your door telling you that everyone needs to leave 18)the apartments and the bedrooms are small as hell 19) we live in a 4 bedroom and each of us pays $504 dollars a month. So the verge makes $2000 dollars a month on our apartment alone and somehow they cant manage to do one single constructive thing with all of that money. 20) If you download something online or use the internet too much, it wont work for the rest of the day. 21) Most of shuttle drivers are idiots and are late picking you up or dont show up at all so if you rely on the shuttle for a ride to school and you have a test that day you may be F'd 22)You can hear EVERYTHING going on in the apartment above you and the walls are paper thin 23)The same furniture and beds stay in the apartments every year and im pretty sure that they never steam clean them or anything 24)the furniture is really uncomfortable its impossible to sleep on the couch if you never needed to 25) its not a safe area, they people that live or visit here contribute to the safety issues. and theres a lumber yard right next behind the complex iv gotten 2 nails in my car tires in the last couple months that really pissed me off anyway that just scratched the surface i could go on forever about this place. i would seriously recommend looking elsewhere for a place to live
