Never lived here, almost did. I was moving 3000 miles across the country and was in desparate need to find a place. I talked with Management at Cambridge Court at which time they gave me approval for 4 pets, 2 cats and 2 dogs. I have had problems finding rentals in the past because of the 4 pets, so I am very attentive to making sure landlords understand my situation. The management approved a 50 lb dog despite their 25lb rule, as well as the other animals. They quoted me at a move in special of $999, with a one time $500 pet deposit, and a $675 security deposit. The next step was to fax the applications to us. This process took over four days. We finally received the applications, filled them out and faxed them back. No response. I called a day later and was told they would begin processing and to call back 2 days later. At this point they charged me a $30 non-refundable credit check charge. I called back after 2 days and was told that my credit check came back fine, however, the 50 lb. pet was too large. I then became a little irritated as they were not going to allow us to move in. I let them know how disappointed I was and that I would be notifying the better business beareau as they had told me all was well, and I had ended my apartment search. At that point, they said they would allow me to move in. The only problem was, the rent was now $1150 and the pet deposit had doubled to $1000. Needless to say, I restarted my apartment search and was lucky to find someone else. Bottom Line, Cmabridge Court will tell you things that are not true to get your business, and then try to convince yu later that it was you who misunderstood them. Honesty rating, ZERO.
