We moved in to the Palm Court Apartments in 2004 when they were still "Luxury Apartments". We loved the large kitchen and closet space. The grounds were beautiful. Since we have lived here the grounds have gone down. The maintenance people are friendly and work hard but they can only do so much. The ant problem is ridiculous! The kicker is the we just got notice that are rent is going up $140 this year. We are quiet - unlike the neighbors around us - and always have paid are rent in full nad on time. When we explained we simply can't afford the increase the answer was, "sorry". We absolutly would never recomend living here. Once you move in they stop trying. We pay for a gated community but the gate is always broke/open. When we moved in dogs weren't allowed - now we have dog poop outside of our completely unprivate patio. Our neighbor runs a daycare out of her apartment and has screaming kids and loud parents coming and going from 6am to 10pm. The whole thing is idiculous because our reward for not complaining and being good tenants is a 10% rent increase!

Consider moving to Flor de Salinas. You will like it better and the rent is lower.

This is good to know. I gave considerable thought to Palm Court last September when I moved to Salinas, but they didn't the unit I wanted at the time I was moving down. (I ended up finding a nice two-bedroom unit at Creekbridge Apts.) I like the fact that some of the Palm Court units have garages, but not at the cost of what you described. Thanks for the post.

Just signed up for a 3rd year. Live on the 3rd floor. It is quiet; the gates are rarely broke, the first author is whack. My rent was to have gone up $50 this November, but by signing up w/ instant deposit it was a wash. They have fixed my stuff in usually 3 days or less, even working late one night up to 9pm, then back the next morning to continue. I have always had good neighbors, I did notice a lot of turnover last year, though. Creekbridge doesn't allow pets, a small number of lazy pet owners spoil it for us responsible ones. If someone is running a business that is illegal, turn them in.
