When moving out I scheduled an appointment with the office for a walk through to point out any items I might need to clean or repair befor leaving. They failed to show for two of the three appointments I had made and only showed for the third because I called and told them of the two previous missed appointments by them. When the person came to inspect the apartment he told me he was just informed of my appointment a few moments ago. After his inspection he said it looked fine just needed some cleaning and gave me a price list for each item that was not cleaned, and said there would be a final inspection after I vacated the apartment. I cleaned the apartment and turned in my keys. After there final inspection I was told they had to hire a profesional cleaning crew to clean, and that I damaged the carpet . Instead of receiving my deposit back I recieved a bill and was told if I did not pay it would be reported and affect my credit. If you decide to rent from here please look up Civil Code Section 1950.5 and protect yourself from these thieves. This is so true, I moved out about two years ago after my stairs were falling down and I got hurt then they told me that I would not be able to get in my apartment for two days and they kept me out for ten days. They offered to put me up in a dump of a motel which was only one bedroom and here my apartment was a two bedroom and I was working from home with a high speed internet connection that I would not be able to get at the motel or give me a small compensation which did not even come to half of what I was paying for rent. When two days turned into ten days I lost my job because I was working from home. That cost me thousands a month that I had worked so hard for years to build up that contract and would never be able to get it back again. I filed a complaint with a state agency that got me out of my rent contract and the agreement was that I pay a certain amount for the remaining time till I had scheduled to move out and I left the apartment in very clean condition and even took lots of pictures and not only did I not get back my deposit but I was billed for more rent and all kinds of cleaning charges. After not paying it they destroyed my credit which ruined my credit totally so next my credit cards upped my payments & interest rate and I am now forced to file bankruptcy. When I went back to the state agency they would do nothing for me and I felt that Danielle knew this would be the outcome all along.
What they do at Acacia Park is criminal and I feel that at least the District Attorney should be looking into it, because someone is making lots of money off the misery they are causing others. Along with when I was there Danielle???s father was threatening certain people who had expired plates that their cars would be towed away and then he would get then to sell them to him at a very low price and once they were his they would sit there for months with expired registrations while other renters had nowhere to park and had to park in the street.
As for whoever wrote ???Love the new manager!!!??? I would have to bet money on that this is someone that either works for Acacia Park or maybe a part owner trying to get up the ratings of ???Apartment Ratings???. As for the owners I was told that they are a bunch of dishonest attorneys who agreed with what Danielle did and if they didn???t why don???t they look into the things that were done in the past and try to correct the wrongs? If the owners wish to dispute any of this they should either respond by putting some type of consumer complaint system in place or contact former residents who had been done wrong and address those complaints. At this point I would encourage anyone and everyone to respond, so that Acacia Park get the true rating they deserve ???0.0???, as I saw many other criminal things going on there all of the time and it is time people know the truth about Acacia Park and last of all I wonder how do they get off calling it a resort which now it looks more like a jar of ???Mustard??? with the horrible color that Danielle chose to have it painted.

I had a similar situation to the carpet story. I lived there for two years and when I moved in, the carpet area in the bathroom smelled like urine! This tells me that they probably did not change it before I moved in???.... Anyway, when I moved out, they sent me a bill for almost $700 stating that I owed for the carpet because it had pet urine when they pulled it up, and they so called had pictures to prove that there was urine in the carpets. I told the manager, (who was new of course)that I never had a pet, and didn't pay a pet deposit or rent. I asked to review the pictures. She said they had been archived and she would have to pull them from the files! Funny that within a matter of weeks after me moving, the pictures were archived! I told her I would write the housing authority and take them to court. I got a call a few days later saying that they would settle for only $128, so of course I did not argue with that....but you see how the script is flipped when they are threatened! Also, when I asked for them to change the carpet in the bathroom area, they told me the only thing they could do was shampoo, but they wouldn't replace the carpet...
