Althought the apartment complex itself has its ups and downs the office staff here is great. They are willing to work with you and whenever you put in a work order they are on top of it. I've learned that you can not blame the apartment complex for the type of people they rent to. So kudos to the office staff at the Castlepark Apartments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I disagree with: "you can not blame the apartment complex for the type of people they rent to." because you can and you should. Castle Punk Apts. will lease to any and everybody regardless of the "background" check they supposedly do. Do you have any idea on how many criminals love to rent at castlepark every couple of months or so they move out?? They and their friend do it to case peoples cars and apartments all day long. Then they strike and steal your car stereo, your car, something in your apartment, or even rape. I'm sure they havent sent out a memo like they did two or three times I was living there(i'm a 6 year vet) about the towel bandit alone. not to mentioned the crime problem. Castlepark needs to be torn down and made into a parking lot for cal state overflow during the year. then they could shuttle people over.

I agree with maaly81 *COMPLETELY*. I noticed my car got stolen this morning while getting ready to go to work (Feb 27th 2009). I barely had my car for 1 week and it's gone ALREADY! My previously owned car got stolen within 3 months. I swear the GOD the ones who is stealing has their eyes out on you like a hawk for a few days probably planning out HOW TO steal your car at the perfect time because last night was the only night I forgot to put my AUTOLOCK onto my break pedal and sure enough with strong PREMONITIONS waking up 1 or 2 in the morning feeling my car might get stolen... what do you know? My car was no where in sight. *NEVER* choose price over safety. Save yourself the headaches. I use to live with my folks and had my windows rolled down and unlocked with no one around to steal it. Big difference living out here in this CASTLE PUNK APARTMENT.

it's not realistic, ethical, or legal to expect castlepark to discriminate tenants based on criminal records. it's all about money. they can say no to those with a tainted credit report because they may not be able to pay = high risk tenants. those with a criminal record? don't care, as long as you can pay the rent every month. i had my car stripped right in the parking lot! my major gripe is castlepark's broken gate which leaves the community wide open for any joe shmoe to walk in. it's no longer a "gated community" as advertised and anybody can come in and have a field day at our parking lot. as they have been!
