Not A Bad Place To Live
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 7/10/2009
Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2009
I have lived here at Castlepark for since 2004 and needless to say it's actually not a bad place to live. I will be brutally honest though, only because I think it's important when looking for an apartment. We have always lived near the front, and haven't really had any problems. I think my car got broken into only once, but nothing was taken(It was a clunker-Not worth much).
There have been news about robbers, rapists, and druggies, but we have never encountered anything of that sort. As far as maintenance, Castlepark does do a good job maintaining the beauty of the complex. The lawn always looks nice, and they do a lot of outside work. If you need anything fixed in your apartment, they'll usually respond that same day or the next day which is really good. The only thing we had to wait a long time for was a replacement for a door or part, and it didnt cost us extra.
The layout of our apartment kind of sucks, you have to open the the oven to get to the untensil drawer, but the rest of the apartment functions fine. I do think they are a bit pricey for an older apartment complex. We pay $1120 for a 2bed/1.5bath...and our apartment is really outdated. Although they have started upgrading units, so if you decide to move in, at least you'll have some nice upgrades.
The staff for the most part is friendly although I have had issues with the leasing consultants being rude and impatient. But the management staff does try to address any issues or concerns promptly. They do try and give back to the tenants a little bit by providing breakfast, or having a "Taco Night," or doing little events on certain holidays which is great if you have kids.
The tenants are okay...we've gotten pretty lucky the years before with quiet tenants, only recently have some new tenants moved in above us who are loud and are up all hours during the day and night! However sometimes, the teenies in the apartments can be a little annoying with their dramatics.
Overall I think I would reccommend this apartment, its not a bad place to live. Just remember, nothing or no one is ever perfect!
