IT seemed nice.... until the lease was signed.

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
When I first signed my lease I was so happy. I thought the apartments looked really nice and I loved the fact that I would have a gym again, etc. Unfortunately when I signed my lease the gym was closed due to vandalism and was anticipated to be opened within a month. Not only did it not open in a month but it took over six more months and then they couldn't give me a key card to the gym because they gave them to all of the new people. Then after I went in there and harrassed them every single day to get a key card they still didn't give me a card (this went on for well over a month) they would tell me that they couldn't give me a key card until someone moved out and gave it back. Of course the people who had the key cards were the people that got them when they signed there lease - not those of us who had been paying rent for almost a year for an amenity that we've never had. They still wouldn't give me a key card and I got mad - I called corporate, I wrote letters and I made it well known I was not happy about it. Then they finally gave me a key card for the gym but they charged me a security deposit (I can't remember if it was twenty-five or thirty-five) I might also say that a lot of the reason I was so mad was because I would walk in the office and hear them telling prospective tenants and current tenants, etc. the same load of bull that they fed me which was that they were going to order more key cards unfortunately it takes a little while, come back in two weeks. Then they tell you that they gave them all out, or they don't know why someone told you that they would be in, etc. and so on.
Then the really fun part about living here was the freaking laundry room. Part of the reason I liked the location of my apartment was because it was close to the trash and close to mail and close to laundry. Then they closed the laundry room right next to my unit - for the next year, and then they closed the OTHER laundry room also. No warning for either of these closures, just one day you go down there and it is closed and they have no anticipated date of reopening it. This also happened when they decided to make this place 1/2 condo 1/2 apartment and one day you just have a fence blocking you from the exit, so that you now have to go all the way around in a circle of the entire apartment complex just to walk over to get your mail.
The worst worst worst thing about this place is the fact that they raise your rent so much every single year and if you don't sign a new lease it is even more. That really pisses me off when places do that - why don't they want people to want to stay' Why do they want to raise your rent like $200 in 2 years if they want you to stay'
The staff was rude (except for Millie - was that her name' The maintenance lady' She is awesome awesome awesome and always smiling!!) they lied, they were deceptive, inconsiderate and down right apathetic.
I will say one thing that was very good about this apartment complex. I fully expected that they were going to totally abuse my security deposit - but they didn't - I pretty much got all of it back.
