Everything about this experience was horrible-- when we viewed the apartments they showed us a nice, well kept unit with valuted ceiling and such. It looked like a nice place to live so we stupidly signed a six month lease. On move in day, we were showed to a run down apartment where half of the electrical outlets did not work, the refridgerator was broken and the bathroom was a disgusting mess. The manager and her sidekick were nonapologetic and rolled their eyes like we were inconvienancing them because the unit was not ready for move in. I should have known that was only the begginning...Turned out that one of our neighbors across from us was a mentally disturbed person who liked to hang out on the balcony and talk to his imaginary friends. The neighbor upstairs from him had a cat who was obviously in heat and crying all damn night to be let off the balcony. The neighbor next door was a grumpy old man who complained that we were shutting our door too hard and made it a habit to call the police to file reports that we were being too loud. And what's worse is that the back half of the apartments is being converted to condominiums, so guess what' -- nails in your tires, industrial rubbish everywhere, sawdust on your car, and half assed rehabilitated felons acting as carpenters is what we woke up to everyday. And don't think that I appreciated having to buy an entire new set of tires for my truck because of all the damn nails that are left all over the premises. Oh yes, and let me not forget how unprofessional the management is. After leaving a complaint about one of the neighbors, I began receiveing prank calls from someone claiming to be from the management company who receited verbatim the call that I had left on the managment voicemail regarding this neighbor. It was obviously one of the management staff having a laugh at my expense. These calls would come at 12 at night and were on my work cell phone. When I confronted the manager about this, all she had to say was, "sorry, someone got into our voicemail system, but the password has been changed now." Such --------. And let me not fail to mention that all of the electrical outlets that were supposedly fixed still do not work, and my water heater (from 1983) is leaking so bad that there is mold on the balcony. Oh yes, and there are roaches, pincher bugs and silverfish everywhere. And like everyone else has said, the supposed workout room and three luxurious spas is a lie. They never gave me the card key to the facilities, nor did they every intend to.
