I have lived here for 2 years. I am so happy I live here with a big guy! I am a younger female. Since I have lived here there have been sex assaults, home invasions, bats in my apt.! My toilet exploded twice!!! Ruining my bedroom carpet. The manager wanted to dry it out instead of replacing it. Oh hell its just human waste right'!...it took them 3 weeks to change it. Can you believe that'
****THANK GOD they just Fired the old Manager -------!!!!**** He was a predator himself. He talked to you as if you were stupid and once before ACTUALLY said " You're just a woman!" if you can believe that.
Now I am dealing with crazy ( assumed to be meth addicts) next door. My son laughs , they call the police. I watch the sopranos he says we are firing guns and beating eachother ( My BF and I). The old manager said it was OUR faults and said if we take legal action he would have US kicked out even though the police are begging us to get a restraining order against the psycho. Now he is finally moving out. Since his sympathiser ------- is gone. But you are renting an apt. and bad neighbors are everywhere.
Peace is restord!
About the Molestor.....yes one lives here yet he keeps to himself and the complex DOES let you know BEFORE you move in so you cant be suprised!
About the Bats...you cant blame managment. The are not legally allowed to kill the things and when there are some in my apt. the maintence guys are soooo cool and go looking for them with their bare hands! Just give them a small tip (5-10 bucks) since I know they dont get paid anything and they will be there every time you need them:)
Crystal Springs really isnt that bad. My apt is cute with a GREAT view and cathedral ceilings.
If you move here, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! Because they might try to get to you illegally. For example.... Sending you a rent increase by dropping it on your door is ILLEGAL! California state law says it must be sent with first class postage. And a renatl agreement can not go against California Law--no matter what they think.
Oh and parking is a b---h.
And the walls are VERY thin. so dont be afraid to heasr the old man downstairs coughing up flem at 3 a.m

We went there severeal different times to see what the property was like and now know that a lot of what has been written is so very true. It is really not even a day and night issue. The property always has loud music playing regardless of the time of day or night. The security patrol is a joke. My husband and I did smell drugs from a couple of differnt builidings especially builiding 18. Lots of cats roaming the property, cigarette butts all over the place. My husband is in law enforcement and concluded that drugs are being sold and ran from several different apartments. If this is the environment that you like then I guess you will make this place your home. I suggest you check things out for yourself first.

if your husband is with the san bruno police dept. then why is he not doing something, or see that something gets done and arrest some of these drug dealers etc...
i am sure that local police and the apartment managers must know of drug dealers living there, it is a lease violation to do business out of your apartment, and of course it is illegal to sell and buy drugs
i lived at crystal springs and i do not understand why no one cares and no one is doing anything !!!!!!!

Hmm, that's funny- I don't hear any loud music playing. Maybe the problem is isolated to one building or group of buildings, as opposed to the entire apartment complex, 24x7?
Oddly enough, I also don't "smell drugs", nor have I ever seen anything that would give me the impression that drugs are being "run" or "sold" by any of my neighbors.
Finally, the "joke" security patrol has been very helpful the one time I needed them for something (after locking myself out). I'm curious what gave you the impression that they are ineffective, based on your limited (and very narrow-minded) exposure?

Oh wait wait... in addition to my last post I gotta throw in also that I agree with you about the parking. I don't understand why the hell guests have to have assigned parking spaces. Why not just give them a general guest pass and tell them to park in any "G" spot?? It seems that 95% of the time I get my guests a spot, either someone is parked there or the person next to them is double parked and they can't fit into their space. I've made this complaint numerous times... and of course... nothing has ever changed.

Did M-----l H----r get fired? Finally? Thank God! Too bad it didn't happen when I lived there back in 2005 and 2006... Honestly, nearly all of the issues I had with Crystal Springs could have been resolved by somebody with some common human decency and intelligence, which H----r had none of. If it's true that he's gone, that's great news!
