Where to start'
Rent is extremely high, especially for what you get. Very cheaply made: thin fragile drywall, cheap cabinetry that often broke, cheap appliances, built with supplies that forced warning signs on entrances for reproductive harm, "hardwood floors" that were really plastic. Staff consistently took their time or just straight up did not fix problems that weren't cosmetic: Underground garage had ventilation problems (the heat from the garage heated our apartment to about 92f daily and with no air conditioning to cool the place down it was very uncomfortable), the garage door rarely worked ( it was always stuck open and in that part of downtown they have a transient problem which proceeded to penetrate into the garage, including elevator lobbys being used as toilets), the gates around the community were always broken and did nothing to keep anybody out (which turned out to be a good thing b/c there were two of us and we only got one gate key), the washer and dryers didn't work even after they "fixed" them, they would have immense trash build up in the trash shoots causing a real cockroach problem which they denied and conviently forgot to spray for them upon request. Many rules were never enforced: smoking in the apartments (which set off our fire alarm in the middle of the night), most nights there were loud parties in the courtyard and people playing fetch with their dogs throwing balls against the walls of apartments. The manager was extreemely irresponsible: when we first got there he assigned us multiple parking spots that were already taken(which really sucks since it was 80$ a month for parking and is now 160 per vehicle), took long lunches so it was hard to contact him during hours normal working people were available, he would give the 24 hour notice of entry into apartments spanning multiple days and expect you to have animals couped up for days on end b /c he refused to allow apointments and then rarely/never showed up, he also forced everyone to close their windows, causing apartments temperatures to rise to 98 , for multiple days for window cleaning and never cleaned them. Was a horrible place to live.
