When we first moved in, the parking lot was full of Lexus, BMW & Mercedes. Two years later, it was full of broken down, trashy, beat up cars. The parking lot is always full because nobody in the complex works anymore. They just sit out on their balconies and drink all day and night. People use their garages for their desert bikes, ATVs, kayaks and junk.
If you're looking for a place to start your cigarette collection, please try the parking lot! I had no problem finding an ash tray or a garbage can in San Diego when purchasing basic household goods.
The pet policy is not enforced. Move in with Marmaduke if you'd like.
We had a spa right next to our place and had to call the police (security does NOT respond) at least once a week because of people partying in it in the middle of the night. Nothing like loud screaming and gangsta rap with unsavory lyrics to lull you to sleep at 2:00 in the morning on a week night! There would also be the occasional couple who would have sex, completely oblivious to the fact that people DID actually live in those apartments that face the spa. The worst part is, 90% of these people aren't even residents, just local kids with keys or that hop the fence. They enjoy swimming naked and don't have keys to the locker rooms, so they either pee in the bushes facing the apartments or right in the pool.
When we moved out, everything on the floor in our other closet was wet and moldy, including the carpet.
We started seeing large rats in the parking lot just before we left as well.
The manager couldn't give a rat's behind, she's leaving the job soon anyway. The maintenance staff is the only thing worthwhile, but I'm sure he'll get frustrated and leave just like every other half human staff member they've had at this place.
Bottom line: if you really want to stay in the Mission Valley area, rent a condo or a house.

I live here as I write this... I have been here since April 05. I loved it here during the first year. Now, standards have gone down. (Check the Megan's Law website.) Now it is extremely noisy at all hours. which didn't happen last year. The staff are all great. It's too bad I will be leaving at the end of my lease this time. |

I agree with you. Sorry you consider this place home still. I used to, but got so annoyed I moved out.

I'm getting a little tired of paying $1800 a month and knowing the local non-emergency police dispatcher by name. We have a certain family living here...I'd say there are about 15 of them...loud as all hell, kids of all ages who apparently have no bedtime and really need the help of CPS since their parents are a bunch of loud, drug crazed, inbred bruisers. Even worse, no we have a "suspicious death" in the complex! http://news.yahoo.com/s/kgtv/20061020/lo_kgtv/10120302< |
