My girlfriend and I moved to Arcadia about a year ago and have been very pleased with our experience. There are some issues, but they are the same problems you would experience at any place. We have a strange problem where it takes a long time for our hot water to turn on. It has to run for about 5 min. before it gets hot. We did call management about it, but they never returned our call. We decided it wasn't a big deal and we on about our lives. I rarely hear my neighbors. The guy above me has a extremely loud exercise bike that sounds like the airplanes that fly overhead anyway. Since he only rides for about 20 min in the evening, it's no big deal. They have quiet hours, where you can't use your washer/dryer after 10 p.m. I don't know why, you can't hear it running unless your place is completely silent. You definitely won't hear someone else's unit running. Parking can be a challenge, I won't lie about that. In the evening, it's not horrible, but it's not all that ideal either. If you have 2 cars, make sure you use your garage or you will likely experience problems, especially on the weekends. I haven't had any problems with the garage (knock on wood). It is a little bit cramped if you have a larger car, but it is still very manageable. The dog policy isn't all that cool. On the plus side, the fitness center stays open 24/7, as you have your own key to get in. Almost every other community in San Diego seems to close their centers. I personally don't think that is very fair for the price of rent. Like I said, our apartment is very quiet. You can hear the highway, but I would expect to hear it too if I stayed 1/4 mile away from it too. It doesn't keep me awake at night, that's for sure. Management is quite nice. They always greet me with a smile and prompt service.
All in all, this is a great place to live. We are only looking to move because we want a larger place, but we are considering a different unit on this property also. I hope this review helps. Thanks.
