DON'T judge a book by the cover!!

First off, I'm not one to really get involved and write a review about a product or place, but after my experience with Arcadia, I feel compelled to warn others .

In the beginning, I made a huge mistake and moved near the pool and clubhouse during the winter, so everything seemed fairly quiet and the neighbors were very polite. A few months in to the lease and everything went downhill from there!

First, the pool soon opened and it became extremely noisy with obnoxious kids and parents (Which can be expected with any pool I presume), but that was during the day.... At night when it was "supposed" to be closed (10:OO PM I might add), there were always some kids or adults jumping the gate throughout the night (sometimes at 3:00 AM!!) for some after-hours fun.(Chicken, Sex, use your imagination, ETC). The clubhouse was always in use as well, but folks seemed to respect the policies there.. I called management several times regarding this matter(because apparently I was one of the few that actually had a job to attend to the next day),and nothing was ever done about it. They said they outsource a security company to take care of property after hours..; but, if you call the security company you will soon find out that they are pretty much useless because of the 22 other properties besides Arcadia that the "ONE" security officer manages. I also contest to what some other tenants have said about car loads of people coming in and out using the facilities like it was a public recreation center or something...Also, some of the neighbors apartments have their decks or patios facing the hallway, so if they have parties all of the time (like mine did) you hear everything!!

Second, I requested a move because of the noise abatement policy being breached several times over the past 6 months. Management stated that I could make a lateral move , but would have to sign a new 12th month lease and put down another deposit. Another great money making tactic from the infamous shady - smoke and mirror management team. It was either that or pay the lease break fee of $1,800.00., so I made the lateral move and put another deposit down. Being that I really needed my original deposit back, I painted the walls and steam cleaned the carpets I got $ 35.00 back Great way to treat loyal tenants Arcadia!!

Finally, I only lasted another 6 months in the other unit because of some more issues that came about(hands are tired from typing) and moved out. Needless to say, they threatened me with rent responsible or the lease break fee of $1,800. I paid the lease break fee they took my full deposit and on top of that have sent me a bill requesting more money from bogus charges .I see how The Irvine Company is the one of the largest real estate investment companies in Southern California now

Advice- You can be the judge for yourself-or you can read this review for what its worth..
Since it s only about the $$, you just might be better off living in a college dorm
