Has it's problems, but I just renewed my lease.

Ok, first of all, for all the people whining about the ants... I live in a two bedroom first floor apartment, and did have two episodes of ant problems last summer, but none since. And the office was responsive and sent someone to spray, but I also bought my own spray and had pretty much fixed the problem before they even arrived. It wasn't that big of a deal.
And for me, parking isn't a problem because I have a garage. And by the way, I think it's great that I have a garage in the first place, not all apartments offer them obviously. Guests can park along Fenton Parkway, and walk in.
Otherwise, I am very happy with my apartment, especially the floor plan. I have a large TV, and the two bedroom I have comes with a large living room.
The only thing I would change is the kitchen vinyl. It is the cheap stuff, and needs to be replaced. Last week I mentioned this to the office staff, and they have already arranged for it to be replaced. I would also agree with another statement made here that the noise between apartments is somewhat loud. My upstairs neighbors sound like they are constantly stomping around.
But overall, I am happy with my place, the pool is great, it is very well-kept, and I have had only the few problems above (which I am sure most apartments have). If I were you, I would just check them out, and see if the floorplans work for you. They were the best I found. If not, the El Dorado (sp') down the road on Friars was my second choice - very nice. There is also a brand new Archstone complex going up across the street which has very similar floorplans, but real granite countertops, nicer sinks, supossedly to have an amazing gym, etc, but also higher rent.
