The good, the bad, and the ugly

I'll try to be as objective as possible. The grounds are kept in almost impeccable condition. It's clear that appearance is very important to them. However, I don't appreciate hearing those noisy leaf blower guys at 8am in the morning! Noise from other units is somewhat of an issue, but you have to deal with that in almost any crowded apartment complex. The ants were a MAJOR problem in years past, but fortunately I didn't have that problem this year. Parking is a nightmare. If I come home after 9 or 10 at night (which is often), I usually have to park all the way on the opposite side of the complex. It's embarrassing when visitors come over and they see several empty spots but they can't park there because they're not "visitor" spots. If you buy a new car, don't forget to take the parking sticker off your old car and re-use it. I made this mistake and they charged me $10 bucks just for a new sticker. If you lose your gate remote it's $50 bucks. Get real. I used to have a garage because I have a nice motorcycle, but because they keep raising my rates every lease term I had to drop the garage and now leave my expensive toy outside. With the garage, I was paying close to $1500/mo - for a 1 bedroom! At my last lease renewal, I told them that they are going to lose a customer with the price hikes and they acted like they could care less. So guess what' I'm leaving in a month. The apartment itself is fine, but the management and parking and other issues don't justify the expense. Beware.
