Wow, some of these people are really angry at Archstone. My wife and I have had pretty much nothing but a good experience here. The apartments themselves are nice, I'm pretty sure they were built to condo standards just in case they decide to flip them. We had some ants show up and called about it and they were in within a couple of days and we haven't seen one since. There are some loud kids walking through the parking lot between 11 and 2 but generally they get to where they're going and you don't have to deal with them for longer than they took to walk within earshot of you. The parking is crap. There are no assigned parking spots. It is very difficult to find covered parking, but generally before 8-9 at night you can find something uncovered close by your place, but after that you could end up anywhere in the complex. Neither one of us has ever had to leave the complex to park though, so I guess there's that. Overall I would say that I am satisfied with what we have there. It is an apartment complex so you're going to have some of the noise and unpleasant neighbors. We live on the 3rd floor though and have no idea about what it's like to have someone above you. We had a noise complaint the other day and we would not have considered ourselves loud at all, but we suspect whoever filed it was hearing our new loud-ish neighbors or they're just not cool. I would sum it up this way: Good: apartment units, maintenance, security, grounds keeping (they always wave and smile to my wife and I) Bad: parking, a little noise, pool hours close at 10. I have never had an issue with traffic, but don't try to leave your place when a chargers game is getting out, you're not going to make it. Overall, we have looked around at what else is in this entry luxury price range of $12-$14 and we would consider Archstone a good value.
