I am a travel nurse and I love the apartment. I have a one bedroom that is near a busy road so it is a little loud but the apartments are the best I have seen even in La Jolla- at least for travelers. I have a small dog so I live on the side that allows dogs-- I will say there alot of pigs that own dogs here that think it is O.K to let their dog poop anywhere and not pick it up. They are disgusting and shouldn't own a dog. For anyone who is unable to check out their apartment before coming, you will like it here, don't worry. It is in a safe location and is literally 15 minutes from shopping, beaches and downtown. Full size washer and dryer is awesome and the walk in closets are the best.

I am a travel nurse myself too and stayed there for 6 mos. Like you, I only have positive experience in my whole entire stay. I guess we're just lucky that we got good service and great unit. I think some people are just whiners and expect a 5 star treatment like a Ritz or Four Seasons hotel. Oh well, some people just have a dark cloud above them!!

This would be a great place to live IF you are a traveling nurse because you wouldn't have to worry about the security that they WILL keep. Read the reviews from others who say the same thing. Archstone has made it a policy to keep security deposits. In my case I left my apartment spotless. I was only there for 3 months and they charged me for a FULL paint job. I didn't hang one picture, not even a thumbtack. I'm somewhat of a neat freak but I spent hours scrubbing and cleaning anyway. It didn't matter. THey charged me over $300 in cleaning fees for an apartment that I was in for THREE MONTHS. I don't expect 5 star treatment but I do expect to get my security back on an apartment that I lived in for THREE months. I expect that I'll be able to use a pool when I'm PAYING over $1,500 per month. I think those are reasonable expectations.
