This is a prime place to live in San Diego.
I lived there for 2 years and recently left to go to L.A.
There is no comparison to the Mission Valley Archstone.
-10 Minutes from BEACHES/DOWNTOWN
- 5 Minutes from 2 Malls (Mission Valley/Fashion Valley)
- 5 Minutes from every shopping outlet from food/clothes/electronics
- Qualcom stadium just a 1/2 mile away
- Across from a shopping center
-10 Minutes from SDSU
- Trolley station onsite
- Great Gym onsite
- Swimming/Spa is like a hotel resort
- Noise is kept to a low (also depends on which side you live on)
- Maintenance responds right away
- Management is helpful
- Parking is not assigned so park anywhere
I lived here from June 2005 to July 2007 and I can tell you that this is the best place to be. Rent in the fall/winter because that's when you get the great prices and don't worry about safety because nothing ever happens. They have security at night and plenty of friendly paces during the day.
Now in the Marina Del Rey Archstone and it's a piece of crap.

Are you kidding? I doubt they have time to type you a threatening letter. I'm sure its a standard form and you're just taking it personally...
I honestly dont think i can clean as well as the cleaning companies they hire, and i'm pretty neat myself. And i would also expect to pay for carpet cleaning because i sure hope it was cleaned before i move in. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. This is one of the nicer, cleaner places to live.

It's a nice place until you try to leave. I left my apartment SPOTLESS and they took every penny of my security AND gave me a bill along with a threatening letter.
If it was a form response it wouldn't give specific details on what they were charging me for. I DO take it personally when a PERSON tells ME that they're going to keep MY money, sorry. I DON'T expect to pay for a carpet cleaning company to steam clean the carpets that were left clean, sorry, that's part of THEIR business expenses. I guess I'm a stickler like that though, I expected them to follow the standard laws of renting which are VERY clear.
The bottom line is I paid a LOT of money to live there and I expected to be treated differently.
