my list of pros and cons

Here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
-it often has some beautiful landscaping with lots of flowers. a couple of time the flowers just blew me away, but then again im from out of state.
-my family were wowed by the resort style amenities, like the pool under the swaying palms.
-my apt is always quiet. i heard they have more party and music near the pool though. i exprienced it while walking through the courtyard. and if you live near the train or friars road forget it.
-my neighbors are respectful nice people. everyone keeps to themselves, but my neighbors generally smile and say hello.
-it is in a great location. i can walk to starbucks and the library. plus youre right next to so many other stores, including malls. and its near the freeway, about 20 minutes to the airport.
cons:
-smokers at the pool. i have complained to management about this problem before. sometimes up to 5 people are smoking. i have a chronic lung disease and have to leave the pool when this happens. these people also usually bring a 24 pack of beer. i dont even mind their beer. after all, i like people having a nice time. but the smoking. and the people dont get it. they dont bother to move to a different area, even when i start having an attack and consequently have to move. they just blow it practically in your face. it really makes my experience here unpleasant. i have moved to the other pool. no difference, because there are smokers round the clock there too.
these smokers tend to leave their dirty butts everywhere around the pool and in the hot tub (from when smoking in the hot tub). ive stepped on them before and seen them floating in the water.
it is just so inconsiderate. the policy states that they shouldn't smoke but they do it anyway-- even at the pool nearest to the office. does anyone come from the office to enforce those rules' no. the smokers just puff away. because of my lung disease, and the fact their policy isnt enforced, i sadly cant use their facilities.
-parking is a nightmare after 8pm, but i have accepted it.
other than that, archstone is a pretty nice place.
