I enjoyed my stay there. It's a very nice complex with a great pool as long as you're on the same side of the rental office. Parking is a real problem. If you get home after 7-8:00 you'll have trouble finding a spot. The pool is great but it often was unusable after the office closed because it would turn into a frat party. They also seemed to be renting to some questionable people, an example is we were in the hot tub one night and a 11-13 year old child did a cannonball into the middle. If that wasn't bad enough a few minutes later he came back minus his bathing suit (which was really boxer shorts) and did another cannonball. Shortly before that we had noticed that his father was also wearing underwear instead of a bathing suit. Other times at the pool while barbecuing kids old enough to know better had come up asking if they could have some of our food right in front of their parents.

The MAIN issue is when you leave. Archstone will NOT return your security. The girls in the office were always nice to me but I was sure to take pictures of the apartment anyway just in case. It didn't matter though. Not only did they not return ANY of my security but they also sent me a bill for $66. Again, I repeat, I took photographs because of how thorough I was cleaning. I even called and spoke to someone who commented on how clean the apartment was. They charged me for steam cleaning of the carpets, a complete cleaning and a complete painting of the apartment.

I would NOT recommend Archstone to anyone even though for the most part I enjoyed my stay there.

All of the archstones seem to have this same scam going on. Do not let them charge you for normal wear and tear. You are not responsible for painting or holes in the wall from pictures or other wall hangings. Take a lot of pictures before you leave and threaten to take them to court like I did if they do not give you your depsoit back. this generaly makes them give in. If you are unsure about the laws look it up on google before you move out so htat you have some ammunition before you move out.
