Archstone Mission Valley

We were out of town -- and I was surprised to have received a phone call from staff at Archstone Mission Valley. Jamie had called to let us know someone on the grounds had noticed that our car, parked in front of our garage, was open. '!'! I mentioned we were out of town and asked her if she could check the car for us. "Sure!" she said. She even checked our apartment door to make sure there was no apparent break-in. I received a phone call back from her shortly. "Everything's fine. Your car door was slightly ajar. It didn't look like anything was broken." She had pushed the car door in for us. Thanks for going out of your way for your happy tenants.
Any requests are fulfilled that same day, given enough time before the staff heads home. Great location, right across from the Costco-Ikea Center. Great view when fireworks are going off in the Qualcomm Stadium next door.

I've said it before. The grounds are nice. The apartments are more than decent. When we originally leased our apartment we did it from the road as we were driving out here from the east coast. We rented it having only seen pictures online. We were pleasantly surprised with everything. We probably would have stayed if they didn??t jack the rent up $300 after only 3 months. All that being said you don??t see their true colors until you TRY to leave. Forget about seeing your security unless you??re up for a fight. I lived there for THREE months and I??m a neat freak. Neither of us smokes, I take my shoes off when I come in, no pets, hung no pictures?? Not only did they tell me that I wasn??t going to get my security back but they gave me a bill for over $300. Again, I stayed THREE months. Thank GOD I took pictures. It took me weeks to get them to agree to drop the bill and give me HALF of my money back. I was told that the pictures were inconclusive because they couldn??t tell if there was any damage. It wasn??t until I read them the laws in regards to renting and said that I was prepared to go to court that they said they??d give half the money back. They told me that they DID have to pull the stove from the wall and clear the dust from behind it. That??s the truth, they expected me to pull a GAS stove from the wall to sweep up dust. It??s a nice place to stay, it??s an awful place to LEAVE. They remind me of that Seinfeld where Elaine dated a guy who was a terrible breaker upper ;)
