We were nearly attacked by a pitbull. It turns out that our neighbor (small guy) owned a pitbull that he could barely control. Of course, the management NEVER warned us about this. Needless to say, we moved out immediately.
If you have children or will have any children visiting you, please be very careful and ask about their pet policy. They do not have any breed restrictions.
Regarding the actual building - the unit is nice, but the neighbors are loud college kids.
Oh - and more importantly - it takes a VERY LONG TIME for hot water to turn on. Don't believe the leasing agents - they'll say anything to get you in the door. (They had also promised us storage in the parking area, but conveniently forgot to tell us that they were still building these and they won't be available.)

Took a look at the pet policy and they actually have a LOT of breed restrictions. Everything from golden retrievers, pit bulls, dalmations, dobermans, bloodhounds, ect. Didn't understand why some of those breeds were on there but pit bulls definitely were. There's also a limit on size, dogs must be under 40 pounds. This review seems pretty poorly researched and emotional. Note: Not affiliated with avalon or any other company that has anything to do with apartments or housing. Just a potential renter that was taking a look at avalon fashion valley.
