We lived here for two years and everything was fine. Sometimes someone would park in my "assigned" space and they make you pay for parking enforcement 50 bucks a car. I''ve seen them out once ticketing. Once...in two years. They do allow pets but there are serious restrictions. However you will see everyone breaking them. They allow dogs to run free even near the walkways. My wife was nearly attacked by a large dog that charged at her. When I stepped in front to protect her and yelled at the dog the owner came around the corner and looked at me like I was the crazy one. I had automatic payments setup through my bank to pay half at a time. Well I forgot to cancel it before I moved out and paid $730 too much. When I asked for the money back they said they couldn't do that. I would have to wait for my deposit to come back. its been 4 weeks and they are say they are still waiting for there corporate office to process the paper work. I called the corporate office they had no idea I had moved out. The Avion office hasn't sent in my paperwork yet. Corporate says once they get it, it will only take a week if that to get it sent to me. The Avion office doesn't even know the law as it is applied to their job. They think that they have 21 business days to return a deposit. When they have 21 calendar days as referencd in the CA Civil Code 1950.5 Para G Sub par 1. They are rude on the phone when you ask them a question beyond what a polite person would ask. I.E. Well if you can't cut the check who can' Why can't I have MY money that ISNT the security depost back' They will play pass the buck, talk to one they will transfer you to someone else and you will have to explain all over again and before you even get done they tell you to hold. Then get back on the line tell you that the manager will talk to you but they are currently busy take your name and number and never call you. That has happened to me twice.

They also Nickel and Dime you on your deposit. They charge for normal wear and tear items, like moderate carpet cleaning and repainting all of the walls on move out. Even if there is only a small touch up to be made they still charge you for all of the paint used.
