Nosiest Place Ever!

These apartments while nice in appearance are about 40-60% over value (1000 sqft 1bed 1 bath @ 1800/mo) as they are very much in a terrible location. They are less than one mile north of Montgomery Field airport which which is home to the San Diego police helicopter unit, the fire dept helicopter unit, and several commercial helicopter training companies. You will get helicopters going over your head all 24hrs about 100 ft above the ground (i.e. very noisy and the whole unit shakes). During the day there are times where both planes and helicopter perform take off/landing training, so plan to get fly overs about every minute.
As if that wasn't bad enough this place is just south of Miramar (the Navy-Marine Corp Flight Training School) so you will get FA-18 fighter jets running circles overhead doing training exercises from 7am-about midnight.
As for amenities, they don't do a good job of keeping non residents out of the pool area so sometimes it will be full of outsiders, and on the weekends parking seems to disappear (they make you pay for parking enforcement, but there is no enforcement).
While the place is central (located between multiple interstates), it also means it is not pedestrian friendly outside the immediate neighborhood.
This place is also far enough west that it starts to get about 10-15 degrees warmer here than the coast. You can find cheaper places in Ocean, Mission, and Pacific Beach and actually enjoy what San Diego is known for, the beach.
