bad managment

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005

I lived there from 2004-2005. At first everything was fine. When we were first interested in the apartment the staff was awesome very kind. Once we moved in everything changed. It always felt like I was bothering them when I would call and ask to get a repair done. My boyfriend and I switched into a three bedroom apt. from a two bedroom one. The biggest mistake ever. We had to wait an extra day to move in because the carpet in the apt. was still wet. There were some bad stains in the kitchen that they had trouble cleaning. Fine, we waited and moved in. We would never have parking because the people from Lomas Bernardo were always parking in our lots. My boyfriend had a lot of problems with his car in one occasion in got keyed. In another instance someone had pured cranberry juice on the window. We tried to complain but, it was worthless. The mgmt didn't care. As long as it wasn't her vehicle. On another occasion our roomate owned a landscaping company. It was a saturday night and thankfully he heard some noice three males were trying to break into his truck to steal his equipment. We called the police. Supposibly there was suppose to be a security guard roaming the apt at night. Where he was when this happened' Who knows! The very nex tday we recieved a letter stating that they had hired new night security. Yeah Right!!! We never saw them. Our move out was the worst. To make a long story short the manager insisted that I had a dog in my apt. I had no such thing. She didn't believe me. They charged us a cleaning fee of $135 for having to clean the blinds. They also kept our $300 deposit plus charged us $310 more for replacing the carpet. The mgr insited the carpet was new. --------! We had to remind her that it wasn't knew and it already had stains. It didn't matter they still wanted to replace it. So we ended up paying for half of the new carpet. We tried to figure out what they were talking about. At the end my boyfriend just payed them and left. It's not fair. I wish there was something we could do to be reimbursed but, unfortunately theirs not. I would never recommend these apt to anyone. They are not luxury at all. Plus dealing with the managment is a joke!
