Carmel Summit Apartments

Management very poor, service nonexistant From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 12/23/2006 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006   The manager is a total jerk. He cannot give a straight answer to anything. And as others have reported here, BRE doesn't follow California Civil Code. They don't give proper notice to enter, they raise the rent over 10% with only a 30-day notice instead of the 60-day notice they are required to give by law. They really don't care what tenants are going through with this construction--all they are interested in is getting it done (at our expense) so that they can raise the rent even higher. Putting in stainless steel appliances does really cut it. What they should be doing is soundproofing the apartments by laying the material on the floors. Now that the maintenance people are working on upgrading the apartments, they don't respond to maintenance calls--I'm 4 days and counting. If they don't treat current residents well, how do you think they will treat new residents. THINK AGAIN BEFORE RENTING HERE!
