noisy construction, lazy management, and vermin

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
I lived in Casa Grande while condos were being built next door, which meant that it was VERY noisy 6 days a week beginning at 7am. The management was very unsympathetic whenever there were building problems. The elevator had to be repaired and this took at least three months. Three months with no elevator when the laundry facility is in the basement was a huge problem especially since the only way down was on rickety old stairs on the side of the building.
Management was slow to respond to maintenance problems and they were always in a bad mood. The maintenance man would often come in to fix something and curse to himself the whole time that he was there. He would often start on a repair only to leave and not return for days.
Neighbors were constantly complaining about roaches and there were rats in the building.
Parking was bad when we lived at Casa Grande and it can only be worse now that there are new condos next door.
When we moved out the management would not return our security deposit even though we left the apartment in good shape.
The apartment building itself was charming with built in bookcases and shelving. It had the feel of the 1920s when it was built. Not your usual cookie cutter, boring apartment units. Better management and maintanence would change my rating for sure.
