Wouldn't do it again.

I absolutely loved these apartments when I first moved in Dec. 2003. Though the apartments are beautiful, they are small. The kitchen has very little useful cabinet space. The washer/dryer were a nice touch. At first I enjoyed the community, but the situation took a turn for the worse. If you work various shifts...forget about sleeping. Day and night...loud music and noisy neighbors. I swear that there were ten people living in the apartment above mine...and once discovered that neighbor digging in the trash. His garage was constantly a mess and he parked wherever he chose. Funny that his car never got towed, like my husband's did. Even though he was parked outside our garage, he had returned from a deployment and been back ONE day...not enough time to obtain a parking sticker...he was towed. The towing company did not list his car as the right model, and it took us calling SDPD to find out where his car was. After the scare of thinking his car had been stolen...and $160 later...managment was not responsive and seemed to not care. Ants...everywhere! After several complaints, managment did nothing to get rid of the ants in our apartment. We had upstairs neighbors who watered their plants contstantly...if we chose to enjoy a barbeque on our patio...and they chose to water their plants we often got wet and had to move back inside. Moving out...forget about getting your deposit back! Trust me...they will rake you over for every penny you get. It is not worth it if you have pets or children. My two year old peed on the carpet one time. I used a personal steam cleaner and rented an industrial one to clean the carpet myself when I moved...nonetheless, when we received our final bill/inspection forms they had stated that there was cat urine on the carpets and that the carpet in the whole apartment had to be replaced. Interesting since it was not cat urine. Mail...forget about receiving all of your mail. My daughter had money stolen from her birthday card, I had three packages stolen from the office in the 10 months I lived here..and forget about receiving your bills on time. The pool...NASTY! Many residents allow their friends and whoever to use the pool. On several occasions I had gone to check my mail late at night and found people smoking pot and partying by the pool. I have also seen many people walking from the Home Depot parking lot...I noticed that these people went straight to the gym or the pool. My assumption was that they were not residents...at any rate..the pool is full of obnoxious partiers...the gym has little equipment since the free weights were stolen. Overall...they look nice...but I would never do it again.
