Years at this apartment:

I moved in late last year and it has been one of the most HORRIBLE apartment experiences I have ever had! I am not exaggerating. Sadly almost 99% of this is because of the staff at the Towers. They are either not available to get in touch with, or they do not care to talk to you anyway. They are lazy, incompetent and inefficient. They all say different things to you, and expect anyone to know their inner workings and policies forward and backwards, when in fact that is what they are suppose to be there for! They talk down to their residents, and ignore and disregard any complaints you may have. Constantly blaming their own inadequacies on IMS or their maintenance staff. The Property Manager Susan is the WORST manager I have ever dealt with. She has no tact or diplomacy or resident relation skills. Her attitude isn't "how can I help" it is "go away I don't care". It isn't just her either. The rest of the staff has adopted her same nonchalant attitude and is of no help to the residents. *Examples *On the day before we were suppose to move in we were called by the staff and informed that a "mix-up" had occurred and in two weeks no one had turned over the apartment we were suppose to be moving into and it wouldn't be ready the next day! Less than 24 hour notice! *You are suppose to reserve the freight elevator to move and we did, but it wasn't working and NO ONE in the office would help us. They all just stared at us and said NO ONE could help, because the person who does that isn't there! We had hired movers and were charged extra because of the time delay. Towers said they would reimburse us for the extra time, but when I went to get reimbursed they refused! *When looking at the apartments we said that we were moving to get away from the construction site that we lived next too. At that time NO ONE said anything about next door being even a possible construction site. 4 days after we moved in we were woken up by beeping sounds at 7:00am... *After our first week of living there we had submitted several maintenance requests, which at this point are still outstanding more than 5 months later. I have gone down many times to inquire about them, but was blown off. Melinda was the only one who actually wrote something down and someone did come by, but said he would come back later and never did. *For 5 days we lost hot water and got no call or letter from the management office. No one informed us why we had lost water, and when trying to call late at night or on the weekends IMS had no answer. I left messages on the Manager and Assistant Managers voicemail and got a call back days after it was all over! I could keep going! I plan to inform their property management company Garden Communities, but know from other experiences that they do not keep a good eye on their properties. While the apartments are beautiful I would still suggest any other UTC location not run by Garden Communities (Costa Verde Apts & Crossroads). Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!!
