So I have watched these comments come across for over a year, and have never posted. But after seeing so many fake positives come across that provide no insight, I felt like I had to provide the goods and the bads of this place.

First, management is indeed horrible. Possibly the worst in all of San Diego. That is why Costa Verde has the lowest ranking on this website. They would do a lot better if management cared about tenants. They do a good job filling in the vacancies. But that is the only good job they are doing. The garage was a lot safer 2 years ago, but management is responsible for the security getting worse each year. Mirrors have been stolen, they have downgraded the security company that patrols the garage, and refuse to install cameras.

Second, the tenants are over 80% college students. I am not sure why this is an issue, this place boarders a college, who do you expect to live here' When people are in college, they make noise at late hours and do not respect property. That is no different at Costa Verde, you have to expect that.

Third, there are drugs here. This is not a luxury upscale gated communities of mansions, it is an apartment near a college. But Costa Verde is a lot worse than average, they have had issues with a crystal meth lab, and from what I heard, the tenants in the apartments near it have gotten sick. Management was tipped about the crystal meth drug dealer, and did nothing, again another reason why management gets bad reviews. The drug dealer ended up killing himself when the SWAT team arrived. That was a horrible night here at Costa Verde.

Fourth, clenliness of the common areas is not sanitary. Most of the pools are disgusting. The hallways are not well kept, and there are vomit stains that have been there for 6 months now.

Fifth, the walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything your neighbor is doing, I mean everything.

Sixth, bad plumbing and cheap appliances.

If you ever see a tootsie roll floating in the pool, its not a tootsie roll. Word to your mother!
